We are seeking a CODING RESOLUTION SPECIALIST II WORK FROM HOME for our center to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. As a CODING RESOLUTION SPECIALIST II WORK FROM HOME, you will work outpatient coding related alerts/edits for SDC, OBV, and Wound Care accounts, predominately, and post initial and/or final coding. The CARS II performs the alert/aedit resolution activities in the applicable systems and per the established procedures and thresholds. What you will do in this role:
*Compiles daily work list from eRequest, CRT, and/or other systems.
*Takes action and resolves alerts/edits for the following patient types within established procedures and thresholds: Same Day Surgery (SDC), Observation (OBV), Wound Care, Outpatient Cardiac Cath, along with back up coverag for Emergency Department (ED), Recurring (RCR), Clinical (CLI), and Provider Office Visit (POV), as applicable.
*Monitors the aging of accounts held by an alert/edit, prioritizes aged accounts first, and reports to leadership.
*Works with team members in billing, revenue integrity, and/or the Medicare Service Center to resolve alerts/edits. QUALIFICATIONS Education
*High School graduate or GED equivalent required.
*Undergraduate (Associates or Bachelors) degree in HIM/HIT preferred. Experience
1 YEAR OF ACUTE CARE OBSERVATION AND/OR SAME DAY SURGERY HOSPITAL OUTPATIENT CODING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. 2 years of experience is preferred.
Coding Technical Skills: ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS, and associated reimbursement knowledge required. Certficate/License
