A maintenance employee will be expected to be knowledgeable about the machinery, basic mechanical and electrical knowledge, and be able to troubleshoot efficiently. In addition to other tasks as designated by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager, maintenance employees have the following responsibilities:
o General production line maintenance as necessary
o Assisting production with mechanical issues that occur during the production run and reporting associated work time or downtime
o Assisting in production line changeovers and setting up the line for production
o Performing preventative maintenance tasks from the list in a timely manner
o Reporting mechanical problems that are discovered but cannot be repaired at that time; this includes requesting any parts needed for repairs
o Maintaining the cooling tunnel, including temperature control and chemical treatment
o Assist the machine operators when necessary
o Assist with quality issues when needed
o General facility repairs
o Work in a safe and professional manner
o Experience in food / manufacturing maintenance is preferred.
o Basic tools are required.
