Job Details

Seasonal employment.  Employer needs 2-3 workers to begin immediately the workers will be hand-harvesting asparagus. Duration of employment to begin immediately [May 2013] through mid-to-late June 2013 (these dates are subject to change due to weather conditions and other occurrences beyond employer’s control) There is also a possibility of other farm work, like harvesting cherries, followed by picking peaches and apples. Trimming is paid by piece rate at 75¢ per tree with a 25¢ bonus payable once trimming is completed. Asparagus is paid by piece rate, by the pound. Cherry harvesting is paid hourly. Peaches and apples are paid by piece rate, by the box. Employer guarantees MI minimum wage of $7.40 p/hr. This work is expected to last through the beginning of November 2013. Weekly hours vary based on weather and other occurrences beyond employer's control. Approved housing is available.
