Vollwerth & Company seeks a reliable part-time Class B CDL Truck Driver to join their team in Gaylord, Michigan to cover a dedicated route.
This position transports meat and spaghetti sauce products from the distribution warehouse in Gaylord, Michigan to locations in Cheboygan, Traverse City, Ludington and Alpena during day trips. The truck driver will review orders prior to delivery, loads and unloads trucks, and provides exceptional customer service.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS. Starting pay of $17.00 – $20.00 per hour. In addition, they offer a 401k retirement plan, life insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation, and ample opportunity to grow and take on additional responsibilities.
SCHEDULE. This is part-time Wednesday – Friday position; Saturdays as needed working between 30 – 35 hours per week with potential to become a full-time position.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE TRUCK DRIVER POSITION.
- Possess a valid Michigan Driver’s License, current medical card, and meet required DOT employment qualifications.
- Class B CDL required.
- Previous truck-driving experience, helpful.
- Possess a physical ability to push, pull, lift and/or carry heavy objects (50 – 100 lbs.) with assistance, secure cargo, and climb up and down from fleet vehicles.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time while driving in the delivery of the product.
- Knowledge and ability to perform pre and post trip truck inspections including checking for proper vehicle gross and axle weights before leaving on delivery.
- Ability to perform minor repairs to truck/trailer (changing light bulbs, wiper blades, tires, etc.).
- Ability to maintain paperwork (customer invoices, a driver’s log, etc.) as required.
- Possess an exceptional work ethic and top-notch customer service skills.
- You are organized, energetic, reliable and work well individually and as a team member.
- You work well under time constraints and can ensure deadlines are met.
