The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Quality Uconnect Engineer to join the quality team at the FCA US Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Quality Uconnect Engineer is responsible managing cross-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, software development and quality landscape and present outstanding teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
The Engineer must be a high-energy, hands-on individual with strength of convictions — a self-confident leader who, in part due to his/her personal presence, style, and demeanor, effectively sells ideas and solutions to others. Moreover, this person must have unquestioned integrity.
Job responsibilities of the Engineer include but not limited to managing all issues related to the six types of quality through resolution. The Engineer will plan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment, display effective communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership and establish partnerships both internally and externally to influence decisions without direct authority.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor degree or higher in mechanical, electrical engineering, or Computer Science
•1 years of experience
•Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint) and Google G-Suite
•Strong Root Cause Analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience in product development, manufacturing, or supplier quality
•Reactive problem solving certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
•Familiar with 3rd party quality metrics (i.e. J. D. Power, Consumer Reports)
•Experience with new vehicle launches
•Familiar with overall vehicle systems
•Working knowledge of quality information systems
•Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly to all levels of the organization
