The Innovation E/E Project Development Engineer will support and lead decoupled projects in Advanced Innovation of Connected Vehicle features, applications and new technologies. Lead decoupled projects by developing project Statement of Work (SOW) with preliminary requirements, project deliverables, KPIs and project timing. Issue Purchase Order requests and manage supplier(s) development and provide tech gate deliverables, including specifications and proof of concept (POC) property to Production team. Coordinate decoupled project development with regional & outside departments. Support other Innovation projects by completing Cyber Security Threat Analysis and Risk Assessments and/or EE Systems DFMEAs.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program
•Five years of automotive electronics experience including technical specification and product development
•Three years connected vehicle / telematics and infotainment technology
•Working knowledge of telematics and infotainment components and systems, including software and hardware
•Highly capable in Microsoft Office and/or G-Suite
•Clear, concise, precise communication skills both oral and written
•Experience in managing projects, either production or pre-production
•Working knowledge of automotive electrical architectures and communication busses (LIN, CAN and Ethernet)
•Ability to lead colleagues from engineering and suppliers to achieve project goals
•Understanding of automotive cyber security principles and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
•Working knowledge of automotive cyber security and architecture best practices for in vehicle components, brought in mobile devices and service delivery platforms including machine-to-machine, server-to-server, and server-to-vehicle interfaces
•Experience with cyber security vulnerability analysis, threat modeling and risk assessment
•Familiarity with authentication, encryption, digital signature, SSL/TLS, AES, RSA, SHA
•Working knowledge of Android OS, Linux, and other automotive-grade operating systems
•One year of experience developing EE System or EE Component DFMEAs
