In addition, the team maintains close alignment with the businesses to support overall strategies and drives to a best-in-class sourcing organization using Stanley Fulfillment System principles.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager role within GSM is focused on the effective and efficient procurement of Fasteners and Secondary Operations within United States in support of Stanley, Black & Decker s 22/22 vision. This role is responsible for implementing category sourcing strategies on a regional level and driving sourcing productivity.
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ensure high degree of service delivery and SBU satisfaction * Consider unique/specific regional and SBU needs during category strategy implementation * Provide regional expertise to category and SBU leadership during sourcing strategy development * Understand and link regional strategy with GSM priorities and SBU goals * Lead the supplier selection process through management of formal RFP, RFQ and RFI processes * Prepare and perform the negotiation and contract management with regional suppliers * Partner with the SBUs to ensure they recognize the business value from the GSM team * Implement category strategies in support of the 22/22 vision and margin resiliency initiatives * Responsible for creation of TCO value to the organization through a combination of productivity, working capital, synergies, reduced risk, improved supplier lead times, etc. * Maintain business relationships with regional suppliers for Fasteners and Secondary Operations and serve as an escalation point to resolve supplier performance issues * Develop and foster regional supplier relationships that deliver cost reduction, supply assurance, quality improvement and innovation * Implement strategic supplier management, supplier risk management, supplier diversity, and CSR programs within United States (leveraging Global Supply Management s Center of Excellence) * Institutionalize best-practice processes and policies and knowledge sharing within the Fasteners and Secondary Operations and United States and ensure continuous improvement * Guarantee compliance with GSM policies and procedures and DoA requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: * A Bachelor s degree is required. MBA or Masters in Supply Chain is preferred * 3+ years of experience in sourcing * Must have a balance of both strategic and operational capacities; including regional sourcing, supplier management, commodity risk management, etc. * Successful track record of implementing sourcing and procurement strategies * Experience in strategic planning, budgeting and financial reporting * Global mindset with experience working in an international/multi-cultural matrix environment * Strong listening, coaching and influencing skills * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels * Strong financial and analytical skills * Multi-lingual preferred * CPIM or CSCMP or PMP certification * Six Sigma or Lean/Kaizen certification * Must be willing to travel approximately 10-20%
