The accountant will perform various accounting functions in support of the business objectives of the Filer Mill.Manage mill ISO Quality Systems.
Principle Accountabilities:
Prepare month-end closing journal entries & post closing variance analyses.
Prepare operating forecasts.
Coordinate ISO internal/external audits & implement recommended changes.
Prepare other analyses as requested by division & corporate management.
Review accounts payable invoice for payments to vendors & wood suppliers.
Complete bank reconciliation.
Prepare year-end 1099's.
Assist with fixed asset identification.
Conduct monthly inventory of waste paper and chemicals.
Responsible for chemical inventory valuation.
Support Key Control requirements.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting.
Applicants must have 1-3 years' work experience in an accounting position
Proficient with personal computers; Microsoft Office; Good verbal and written communications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Having worked or interned in an accounting position.

Must be able to work well under pressure and within time constraints, multi-task, and build sound relationships with both internal and external customers.
Must exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational and computer skills.
Must be capable of independently making sound decisions through creative problem solving.
