Responsibilities
Coordinate and perform the preparation, portioning and distribution of baked foods in a food production facility; combine ingredients and prepare baked foods such as breads, rolls, and desserts in quantity in accordance with specific recipes; decorate cakes and garnish other baked items; set temperature, humidity, and timing of ovens; maintain inventories and requisition supplies; operate cookie machine, mixers, steam cookers, rounder, molders, stoves and ovens, slicers, choppers, and other baking equipment; measure and weigh ingredients; replenish supplies; clean equipment, counters, utensils, and assigned areas of work; use organizational skills to prioritize tasks, including preparation of multiple food orders and simultaneously execute tasks in various work areas to assure all food items are available for service and meet all standards for cost control, food appearance, quality, taste, texture, and quantity; assist the chef and management in menu and recipe development.c
