We serve a broad range of clients in government and industry, implementing complex projects from initial concept to operations.
TRC is looking for talented health and safety professionals to help grow our Central Region consulting practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing health and safety services in several industries including manufacturing, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, and energy. Candidates should have a strong working knowledge of OSHA health and safety regulations, NFPA and ANSI standards with the ability to effectively deliver health and safety services to our clients. Most importantly, they should be self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to work within an exciting, rapidly growing business environment.
Following is a summary of the responsibilities of the position of the Health and Safety Consultant position:
•Perform health and safety compliance audits
•Perform safety management systems assessments
•Conduct industrial hygiene assessments
•Develop occupational safety initiatives and programs designed to help clients identify and control risks
•Assist clients at the facility level with implementation of those initiatives and programs
•Provide technical safety training on compliance and safety performance improvement
•Support the preparation of effective technical proposals
•Work closely with TRC Account Leads and Client Service Managers to identify and develop new opportunities to expand client relationships, provide value and generate repeat business
Requirements
TRC is looking for candidates with 3-5 years of professional experience in providing health and safety services both at the facility and corporate levels. Previous consulting experience is desirable.
Preferred candidates will have broad technical capabilities and a solid regulatory background with a focus in the following service areas:
•OSHA Compliance Auditing (1910 and 1926)
•Management System Auditing and Support (OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001, VPP)
•Industrial Hygiene/Indoor Air Quality/Industrial Ventilation
•Machine Guarding Assessments
•Safety Training
•Health and Safety Due Diligence Assessments
•Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs)
•Contractor Safety Management
•Process Safety Management Auditing and Program Implementation Support
Successful candidates will be focused on providing services in their geographic area so an understanding of the state regulatory climate and industrial markets is essential. In addition to the background information above, preferred candidates with have the following experience:
•Project management experience focused on creating and successfully managing project budgets to achieve profitable growth
•Ability to interface and develop a rapport and positive relationships with our clients
•Experience with Management Information Systems
•A Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene or related science. Master's degree a plus.
•Professional certification in safety and/or industrial hygiene, or desire/current efforts to pursue certification as an industrial hygienist (CIH) and/or safety professional (CSP) is preferred.
•Approximately 40% overnight business travel will be required for providing health and safety services at client locations.
