Timber Products Michigan, located in Munising, has an opening for a Junior Engineer. The position is responsible for performing routine, entry-level engineering tasks under the direct supervision of the plant engineer with the goal of developing more advanced engineering skills, developing and implementing manufacturing systems enhancements, and providing project planning and management of mechanical, electrical and control systems to improve manufacturing processes. Responsibilities also include producing detailed equipment designs and drawings in support of process improvement projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering or a related field. The candidates must have good listening and communication skills, well developed problem solving skills and project management skills, and must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them with the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Excel and Word preferred.
