Description:
Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems. Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing data center environments. Perform routine audits of systems and software. Perform backups. Apply operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes. Install and configure new hardware and software. Add, remove, or update user account information, resetting passwords, etc. Answer technical queries and assisting users. Responsibility for security. Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system. Troubleshoot any reported problems. System performance tuning. Ensure that the network infrastructure is up and running.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in CS or MIS and 5+ plus years of experience as a systems administrator required.
- Demonstrate good ability to support, review, analyze, and evaluate various systems operations.
- Working knowledge of: Active Directory, Client, VPN, IPV4, IIS, group policies, Windows scripting/PowerShell.
- Prior experience providing user support including but not limited to; physically setting up computers and associated user accounts, maintaining asset tracking database and general tier one user support.
- Professional and customer focused demeanor.
- Demonstrate ability to document, track, and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
Preferred:
- Experience in automotive and/or industrial design.
- Working knowledge of G Suite.
- Experience in cloud computing and/or Network configuration.
- Working knowledge of Network Security/Firewalls.
- Certifications: ITIL, Microsoft and CompTIA, RHCP, CCNA.
- Web and database application development.
Driving and Travel Requirements:
- May be required to drive a company car. A valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record.
