Enterprise Risk Compliance Director
The Enterprise Risk Compliance Director position is responsible for providing strategic management, oversight and supervision of Comerica's Corporate Compliance Department which includes Compliance Risk Management, Compliance Risk Control, CRA Compliance the Office of Enterprise-Wide Compliance functions.
Position Competencies
This position requires time management individually and as a unit leader, completing high pressure assignments within set deadlines with accuracy and discretion; ability to prepare concise reports, analyzing and preparing documents and correspondence while training team members.
Position Responsibilities:
•Maintain and evolve processes necessary to support the Compliance Risk pillar. Process includes production of materials for Enterprise Wide Compliance Committee, performing Annual Reviews of Risk Liaisons (as to the compliance risk aspect), maintaining a periodic (monthly) communication process (through the use of monthly dashboards) from liaisons, to support a method of escalation and provide representation during regulatory examinations.
•Manage the CRA Compliance function for the organization. Facilitating proactive communication with senior managers by holding monthly CRA Working Group meetings. Providing metrics to measure performance and highlight areas needing attention to maintain an appropriate CRA rating.
•Manage and evolve the annual risk assessment process, using the results to maintain the business units' dashboard reporting processes, and outlining the compliance risk management process enterprise-wide.
•Direct the compliance/regulatory training process enterprise-wide, including active partnership with Corporate Learning.
•Act as key point of contact for compliance related vendor inquiries, maintain membership of the Michigan Banker's Association Risk Management Committee; maintain industry-wide contact. Maintain active membership in the Clearing House Chief Compliance meetings.
•Act as the key point of contact for regulatory examinations for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regarding Comerica's Compliance Management system.
•Prefer candidate with a Juris Doctorate from an ABA accredited law school with experience within a Financial Institution's compliance department.
•Prefer certification - Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager Certification from the ICB.
Position Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited University
•10 years of experience in consumer and corporate compliance risk management
