The FCA Quality organization is currently seeking a solutions-oriented Quality Verification Systems Unit Leader to join the Quality team at the Jefferson North Assembly Plant in Detroit, MI. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of a company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape. The Quality Control Unit Leader — is the focal point of contact for all Quality Verification Stations and will manage the Quality Verification System, ensuring shift to shift consistency, and utilizing data to drive issues to closure utilizing the world class manufacturing methodologies.
The specific responsibilities for the role are:
•Supervise Quality Verification of and Torque verification personnel
•Responsible for the quality verification reports
•Assist in root cause, containment and corrective actions for all quality related issues in the manufacturing facility
•Assist in the training of newly and re-assigned personnel
•Management of time sheet and payroll management of all bargaining unit employees
•Hands-on training and coaching salary and bargaining unit employees on the world class manufacturing methodologies
•Timely completion of containment corrective actions (performance action notices)
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree
•Manufacturing experience
•Ability to analyze and translate data into visual charts/graphs etc. for reporting purposes
•Demonstrated use of problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
•Two (2) years quality experience
•Supervisory experience
•Knowledge of engineering specs, standards, and build objectives
