Description
The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for full cycle of specimen collection and maintenance to determine quality, proper collections and labeling. Performs limited analysis and testing according to established procedures. Delivers specimens to laboratory sections as required by department protocol.
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Demonstrated ability to think critically
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3 months previous experience as a phlebotomist, with experience in specimen preparation
Phlebotomy Technician Certification (PBT)
