Key to supporting KLA business is the finance team that partners with corporate and global business organizations to provide expertise and guidance for developing and executing sound business models and practices. The Finance organization consists of operations and corporate finance teams. The operations finance team influences business decisions by gathering the best available operations information, distilling it and making recommendations to our management team on the best course of action. The corporate team provides a broad range of services, such as financial planning, corporate accounting, tax, industry analysis and benchmarking, internal audits, SEC reporting and merger and acquisition support. RESPONSIBILITIES The internship will be based in Milpitas, California during the summer of 2020 with the potential for full-time hire in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We are looking for a well-rounded, versatile college student with strong communication and interpersonal skills to join our team for the summer. The intern will help with the planning and scoping of an internal audit and/or SOX project by running reports and performing data analysis on the reports to help us make our selections. The candidate will also assist with the audit interviews to perform process walk-throughs, and gain an understanding of the processes in place. The candidate will review reports, and perform interviews to assist with audit and/or SOx fieldwork testing. Throughout the project, the ideal candidate will perform data analysis or find other methods to improve our audit processes. The intern may be required to travel internationally for 1-2 weeks. What training or development opportunities will the intern gain with this project* The intern will gain project management, data analysis, and interview/communication skills. In addition, the intern will learn to have professional skepticism, a control mindset, and learn how to interact with individuals in various roles/functions in the company.
