In keeping with these objectives, and considering the increasing electronics and software content in vehicles today, FCA is seeking qualified Embedded Systems Operational Capability Engineers to review vehicle component software requirements, designs and processes for internal and external customers. The selected candidate will help ensure product quality by supporting software design and development for electronic control modules used on production vehicles via supplier design reviews. Job responsibilities include but not limited to: participating in technical sourcing reviews, requirements development, actively organizing and leading software design reviews, reporting results to management and conducting follow-up activities.
Basic Qualifications:
•A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer/Computer Science or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university
•A minimum of 5 years of software experience in a related field
•Demonstrated understanding of the software development lifecycle activities and best practices
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
•Design for Six Sigma Black Belt certification
•Reactive Black Belt certification
•Automotive SPICE / CMMi training or certification
•Management reporting, review and audit experience
•Software quality engineering experience
•MISRA tools/compliance experience
•Software design peer review experience
•Static software analysis tools experience
•Embedded and application software experience
