DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Continuous Improvement Activities * Defines plant CI actions with the Global CI Manager and plant management team and make sure actions are implemented, tracked and reported * Define and achieve OAE improvements year by year on specific or focus lines * Initiate, lead, track and report plant wide CI and savings projects in accordance with the plant needs in order to achieve plant wide cost savings * Support the other departments to achieve their own KPIs and yearly goals * Develop, implement and coordinate lean manufacturing principles within the plant * Continually challenge conventional thinking, drive accountability for site or functional results and deploy and sustain the application of our Production System (FMPS) * Responsible for problem solving, Kaizen activities, technical and organizational expertise * Encourage employees to share ideas on CI, assess their ideas and initiate their implementation * Implement CI culture and tools (Industry 4.0) to improve OAE and material flow * Benchmark best practices and organizational solutions within F-M, other departments and external companies * Ensure together with the Global CI Manager that projects support the productivity objectives of the group
Global Continuous Improvement Activities * Share knowledge and best practices from the plant, participating in global CI meetings * Actively participate in the OAE workshops and audits in respective region * Actively participate in Lean Global trainings * Support other plants with problem solving and technical expertise * Prepare best practices and standards * Develop specifications for new equipment to comply with Lean principles and our Production System standards
Training * Drive towards a CI mindset within the plant organization and teach CI thinking * Provide, train and evaluate the technical and methodological knowledge of Lean manufacturing methods (incl. 5S, SMED, TPM, Kaizen, shop floor management, value stream analysis) * Teach new FMPS to all levels in plant
Communication * Inform all employees about CI activities * Report CI progress, KPIs and savings to management team
