DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tenneco is looking for a Facility Technician that will be responsible for shipping and receiving/mailroom functions for the Northville location and for maintaining the day-to-day facility operations. This person will become a valued member of our Technical Services Department, where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.
An ideal candidate for this position is a candidate who possesses a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and experience working in a professional office environment. Strong attention to detail, significant capability, drive, and initiative to create and manage own work agenda are all necessary qualifications for this position.

•Shipping and Receiving responsibilities:
•Responsible for all incoming UPS, FedEx, and LTL shipments, as well as minimal outgoing shipments. Includes completion of all shipping documentation and labeling in compliance with applicable standards and work instructions.
•Unload, inspect, separate and deliver material to respective storage locations and/or various departments as needed. Deliver/pick-up materials as requested and support paperwork for this function.
•Maintain Paperwork/traceability of all incoming material and ensure all documents are properly maintained.
•Coordinate the disposal of confidential material.
•Organize, set-up meeting rooms when requested.
•Back-up Guard Staff at Front Desk as required.
•Assist maintenance personnel as needed.
•External facility maintenance, as needed.
•Clean, paint, straighten facility as directed.
•Complete preventive maintenance tasks as required.
•Assist with fire, life and/or safety evacuations.
•Any other activities deemed necessary by management.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
•Experience working in a professional office environment.
•Shipping and receiving experience.
•Extensive standing, walking, arm and hand motion, some foot motion, manual dexterity.
•Ability to lift up to 50lbs, manual movement of materials.
•Professional work conduct will be required at all times.
•Must have good communication and problem-solving skills.
