As a forward-thinking and transformational Audience Development Executive, you will lead the strategy, development, and execution of audience plans via effective marketing practices with the goal of achieving revenue growth across six of Crain Communications' core brands: Automotive News, Crain's Business Publications, Modern Healthcare, Ad Age, Pensions & Investments, Polymer Group. By leveraging your focused ROI mindset and your experience as a modern, multi-channel marketer you'll decide how best to engage audience members during their customer journeys, and how best to allocate resources. How you achieve this is up to you. You'll lead a team of 15 to 18 audience development professionals and work closely with Product Owners and Sales, Analytics, Editorial, and Digital Operations to align efforts and achieve organization objectives including subscription and pipeline growth efforts. Beyond the strategic level you will: * Collaborate with analytics team to drive insights into audience trends and behavior leading to the adoption of these insights into all Crain brand departments, especially marketing, advertising and editorial * Work with direct reports to develop, refine and test marketing and promotional campaigns to further audience growth in key markets * Leverage and help govern the management and hygiene of a multi-million name customer database * Collaborate with technical and engineering leadership and team to maximize ROI of tech stack for audience strategy * Develop audience vendor stack and handle escalation touchpoints for vendor relations to maximize ROI on both campaign and operational driven service providers and support the activities of the audience development team You'll know that you are successful in the role when you have achieved revenue growth in the department while balancing circulation and demographics-based advertising goals and requirements. You will have established regular communication plans on reporting to brand leadership, developed a 2-year financial roadmap that supports audience initiatives, led audience panels in association conferences showcasing Crain as a leader in the B2B space while empowering career development and growth within your team. The position could be based in Detroit, Chicago, or New York City.
