The Advertising Manager for the Ram Truck Brand is responsible for the 360 integrated creative and content development process with our external agencies and cross-functional marketing partners. The keys to success in this position include the ability to think strategically and execute flawlessly. The ideal candidate will develop a calendar year advertising go-to-market roadmap, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to provide thought leadership a clear direction to agency teams. They will apply a deep understanding of the brand essence to contribute to short-term brand performance as well as strengthening the Brand in the long-term. It will be imperative to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, clearly articulate thoughts, ideas, and strategic rationale, and interact with top management on both the brand and advertising teams. They will be asked to monitor the health of the Brand on a daily basis, through on-going knowledge of Industry and competitive activity, while continuously striving to nurture and deliver game-changing creative, innovative partnerships and breakthrough, non-traditional content. Additional responsibilities include working with and managing AOR (Agency of Record) annual retail business scope, calendar of deliverables, project timing, and excellence in creative delivery. Cross-agency leadership and coordination is also essential.
The development and management of annual creative production budgets, facilitation of budget requests and quarterly scope and budget reconciliation is within the responsibility set. Cross-functional integration and product Brand team alignment is required. Strong knowledge and experience in the area of traditional content production (TV, video, print) as well as emerging content areas is important. Top notch time-action planning, presentation development and delivery, and collaborative brainstorming is key.
Client leadership of weekly Brand status meetings, new vehicle launch team meetings, creative concept review meetings, and executive level planning/strategy/ creative review meetings will be expected. This candidate will also be required to demonstrate working knowledge of dashboard assessments, data and analytics insights, and industry measurement tools to support healthy and consistent reporting principles so brand development, successes, and opportunities can be evaluated and implemented.
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
•8 years of brand marketing, brand communications, advertising agency, or related experience
•Organized self-starter
•Able to multi-task and find solutions
•Strong passion for brand building
•Strong passion for development of innovative and industry leading creative campaigns
•Specific brand strategy development experience
•Excellent presentation development and delivery skills
•Exceptional team player/thought leader with the credibility and integrity to earn peer client and internal team confidence quickly
•Ability to listen to and understand fully the needs of various internal constituents and in turn develop thoughtful solutions
•Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with brand partners
•Experience leading a team of agency account, production, and creative team members from development through execution of creative campaigns
Preferred Qualifications:
•Automotive client and /or advertising agency experience
