Education: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related degree
Experience: Minimum 1 year of IBM ELM work experience
Description:
- The Tool Development Engineer - Intermediate is responsible for building and managing all the tools used to develop and qualify systems and features.
- The Tool Development Engineer works closely with the internal stakeholders and suppliers to document requirements and specifications, source and manage supplier tool development, and deliver and maintain finished tools.
Responsibilities:
- Builds robust and scalable telematics test tools that increase product quality and shorten development cycle, including but not limited to: connected services simulators, radio head unit applications testing tools, web application testing tools, server testing tools, and test automation tools
- Analyzes, designs, and develops test tool frameworks and test automation framework
- Establishes test strategies and processes, reviews requirements with development and qualification teams
- Creates and maintains test cases and test scripts
- Writes test tool user guides and provides necessary training to user community
- Manages tool supplier sourcing and development at tool suppliers
- Writes management reports and review documentation
Skills:
- Experience with Java, Eclipse, Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC)
- Previous experience performing end-user support
- Ability to Apply Agile methodology for planning and managing daily tasks
- Will be required to drive a company car. Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.
- Will be required to travel domestically up to 5%

- Must be fluent in both written and spoken engineering technical English language

- Outstanding interpersonal and problem solving skills
