As a member of FCA’s Automated Driving Software team, you will be responsible for the design, development, simulation, testing, integration, and deployment of the latest cutting edge technologies across platforms to consumer markets worldwide.
We are looking for software professionals that possess development experience in the field of automated vehicle HD mapping, precision GPS, correction services integration, and location fusion including any of the areas of: particle filters, grid fusion, SLAM, computation acceleration of large data sets, and other state of the art techniques. Additional software background and experience in any of the following areas: embedded vehicle development, vehicle dynamics, safety design, security & networking, perception, path planning, and/or motion control is a plus.

Basic Qualifications:
•A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
•A minimum of 5 years of overall software development experience including a minimum of 2 years of experience in C++, and/or Python, algorithm development including design, description, and test case documentation in a vehicle or related environment
•A minimum of 1 year of direct software development experience in automated localization including design, implementation, and test
•Experience utilizing Robot Operating System (ROS) RTOS and/or Matlab/Simulink or equivalent environment(s) as a rapid development platform
•Experience working as a team member within an Agile/Scrum software development process with full software lifecycle responsibilities
•Demonstrated high level of technical problem solving ability and cross-functional collaboration
Preferred Qualifications:
•A Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
•8 years of overall software development experience and 5 years of developing automated software features in a vehicle or equivalent environment
•Experience with other automated driving algorithm techniques including: perception, point cloud processing, machine learning techniques, optical/CV image processing, finite state machines, optimal path, mapping, and various control algorithms
•Experience with SIL/HIL environments including Static Analysis, Structural Testing, Functional Testing, and/or Functional Regression principles and authoring code compliant with any of the following standards: IEC-61508, ISO-26262, DO-178B, and/or ISO-21448
•Prior experience in ADAS, Active Safety, Active Chassis or Automated Driving Software and Controls for SAE Level 0-3 or equivalent safety critical embedded applications
•A working knowledge of AUTOSAR Classic and/or Adaptive Platform concepts and development experience using a message passing middleware topology (e.g. DDS, LCM, ROS) in a multi-threaded environment
•Experience with programming hardware accelerators in a heterogeneous environment including: GPU, FPGA, and/or custom Si utilizing open or 3rd party libraries (e.g. OpenCL, OpenCV, CUDA, OpenEyeQ, etc.)
