HDR Engineering is looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Conveyance Manager to join our Ann Arbor, MI, or possibly our Detroit office.
The Senior Water/Wastewater Conveyance Manager will be responsible for a significant program in Michigan to replace underground assets, including water and wastewater pipelines. Other duties include:
•Serve on the mobilization team with our interim assigned program manager to establish programmatic goals, measures, charter the team, identify KPIs, establish basic project controls functions prioritize asset evaluation activities, and work with technology vendor(s) to mobilize condition assessment activities.
•Direct multiple sub-consultants
•Plan guidelines and performance specs for procurement of pipeline repair
•Establish sequencing of projects and coordinate with the client to confirm financing to completion
•Oversee development, maintenance and delivery of technologies and services to clients
•Develop and apply processes and tools to ensure cost-effective application of technologies and services
•Develop and implement company's technology, standards, project delivery practices, facilities, equipment and tools
•Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
•12 years' experience in planning design and construction of underground pipeline projects for Water/Wastewater/storm water projects within the municipal/civil market space in Michigan.
•Excellent marketing and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships in water and wastewater utilities
•Experience managing staff, clients and contracts, as well as hiring staff for an engineering consulting firm
•Experience working on a large capital improvements program preferably with underground asset condition assessment and replacement.
•Track record of working cooperatively with diverse teams, regional, department, technical managers and project staff
