The GOISD is seeking applicants for a Special Education Teacher (Secondary MoCI Program) in Bessemer.
Credentials: Valid Michigan Teacher License with a Special Education Endorsement
Qualifications:
- Ability to provide differentiated instruction to a variety of students with special needs
- Ability to utilize classroom management skills to ensure student engagement
- Ability to organize and maintain documentation and meet all deadlines associated
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to deal with obstacles and constraints positively
- Ability to work effectively and courteously with staff, students, families and community
- Ability to adjust to and use new approaches in the performance of duties
Responsibilities:
- Implement various curricula and supports to address IEP goals and objectives
- Provide educational benefits to all students in the classroom
- Collaborate and coordinate inclusionary practices with all GOISD and LEA administration and staff
- Complete student assessments to maintain student growth documentation and use for IEP preparation and implementation
- Submit records within timelines
