JOB DESCRIPTION
FOR
ACCOUNTING HUB OPERATOR
Position Title: Financial Information Management Systems Operator (Blackbaud Programs); full time.
Position Reports To: Director of Finance and Executive Director
Summary: The operator’s primary responsibility is to provide accurate financial data tracking and administrative support to all assigned Hub clients. This position is responsible for all financial data entry and retrieval, as well as the clerical aspects of the position such as preparation of monthly financial reports and interaction with and Hub clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verifying, sorting and entering/retrieving data in Raiser’s Edge and/or Financial Edge Software.
- Producing month-end financial reports and statements.
- Preparing and mailing checks.
- Processing correspondence and mailings in a timely manner.
- Compiling information needed by HUB clients.
- Performing routine clerical duties (answering the phone, filing, typing, etc.).
- Related work as assigned by the Executive Director or Director of Finance.
Abilities and Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience.
- Prior bookkeeping knowledge and experience (fund accounting experience a plus).
- Ability to work well with other employees in a variety of settings.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products, with emphasis on Excel.
- Excellent time management skills with ability to work well independently.
- General knowledge of philanthropy is very helpful.
- Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
- QuickBooks Payroll knowledge is a plus.
