Responsible for ensuring machines are running to standard and producing quality parts. Work with Molding Supervision to ensure that customer schedules are met within the allotted business plan and labor, with minimal scrap and down time. Responsible for area safety, 5S, and production efficiency (OEE). Safely Perform set-up, start-up, shut down of assigned injection molding presses and all other related equipment according to procedure and production schedule. Verified correct material and colorant are in hopper before start up. Ensure all presses are operating at established cycle times to meet production schedule. Monitor and record process adjustments to achieve targets without jeopardizing quality. Makes suggestions for continuous process and cycle time improvements. Monitor and minimize scrap. Save and tag last shots from previous jobs. All components and assembly equipment are at press and functioning properly before leaving press at start up. Review parts being packed at molding and assembly operations to ensure all parts and components meet quality standards. Responsible for promoting a safe work environment and preventing injuries through the use of, but not limited to, 5S, job rotation, and ergonomic work practices. Also ensure any accidents, safety hazards, near misses, or injuries are reported to the appropriate person immediately. |
