Position Summary
Assists with patient care as directed by the Ophthalmologist. Performs various vision tests, collects medical data and performs diagnostic studies. Assists team with minor surgical procedures in the clinic. Provides patient education regarding pre and post surgical care. Monitors and maintains clinic flow, assists with various administrative duties within the Ophthalmology Department. Provides phone triage under the direction of the physician.
Basic Qualifications:
Education - High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience - Ability to perform basic ophthalmic care workups
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience - 1 year of experience typically gained through skills/knowledge/abilities in working in medical setting, ophthalmology
Licenses -
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or Certified Ophthalmic Technician
