The Clinician reports to the SUD Clinical Supervisor and is responsible for providing treatment and casework services to the clients and families to which they are assigned. This program focuses on individual substance abuse therapy and group therapy within a juvenile detention facility in Ottawa County.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree is required in Social Work, Clinical Psychology or another associated human service profession.
- Clinical experience working with adolescents and/or families in home based settings preferred.
- Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary team preferred.
- If the individual is a Master Level Clinician, they will be required to provide proof of registration within applicant's defined area: Registered Social Worker, Certified Social Work, or Professional Counselor. (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC).
- Certification or registered Development Plan from Michigan Certified Board for Addiction Professionals (MCBAP) preferred but not required upon hire
- SPADA certification preferred
- For transportation purposes must have a valid driver's license.
- Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose and objectives of the agency.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Clinician to develop a person-centered treatment plan that focuses on addressing the needs of the client and family engagement when applicable.
- Work with the client, family, and other involved individuals. For the purposes of coordination of care, follow community partner, PIHP, CMH, and agency guidelines when providing treatment with patients receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment or other medical treatment. Provide education to clients, family, and other involved parties on MAT.
- Provide individual, family therapy, and case management as needed to each client/family on your caseload, with a minimum of one to two hours face to face contact each week.
- Coordinate the transfer/discharge process for the client and family.
- Complete all service plans, contact records, and all other necessary paperwork, in a timely manner.
- Monitor the quality of overall treatment services to clients on your caseload; and evaluate the adequacy of these services to meet treatment objectives.
- Participates in regularly scheduled staff meetings, therapist meetings, and any others as deemed necessary by the Community Leadership.
- Assist with the professional growth of new hires by allowing job shadowing as needed.
