Description
2nd shift position:
Responsible for: mara, glace, and bleach tank processing; maintaining proper brine, SO2, fruit and syrup brix, and PH levels by adding chemicals; monitoring the fruit in fiber tanks ensuring circulation, pressure and bacteria growth are within specification and all pumps and other equipment are functioning properly; operating and maintaining sugar recovery system (APV); ensuring accurate paperwork completion.
Essential Functions
•Mara, bleach, glace, and syrup tank processing
•Monitor and maintain brine and SO2 levels
•Monitor and maintain fruit and syrup brix levels
•Monitor and maintain PH levels
•Responsible for sugar recovery system (APV)
•Receive product tankers; collect sample to confirm quality
•Monitor fruit for bacteria growth
•Check equipment to ensure proper function
•Understand the controls for: syrup, steam, water, etc
•Accurate paperwork completion
•Maintain and operate forklift safely at all times
•Complete daily forklift tests
•Maintain housekeeping in area
•Other tasks as assigned
