Job Description
Lear is looking for a V2X Systems Architect to help Lear continue to advance V2X technology within Lear and to the industry as a whole. This position requires in depth knowledge about multiple V2X communication and security protocols. This position will require participation in V2X standards bodies and SIGs such as SAE, 5GAA & IEEE, and will help drive next generations use cases for V2X technology, This engineer will maintain an understanding of the different regional variants and regulatory requirements. This engineer will promote V2X to customers globally and help direct engineering development strategies and priorities. Performing competitive analyses and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies in both the automotive and consumer electronics field. Work with various hardware and software suppliers on technical evaluations and strategic partnerships. Help bridge the world of embedded vehicle controls systems with the world of connected services and consumer electronics.
Required Skills
1. Work closely with the Global Connectivity engineering team 2. Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and application on V2X Connectivity technologies 3. Listen, understand and convey customer issues and requirements to product management and development teams 4. Participate in relevant V2X Standards bodies (IEEE, 5GAA,SAE) 5. Be an established expert on V2X communication and security protocols. 6. Be a V2X advocate to customers, suppliers and internal to Lear.
Required Experience
1. BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering 2. Experience 10-15 Years in Engineering 3. In depth experience with V2X communicaton and security protocols 4. A solid understanding of network communications technology - Internet, Intranet, VPN, TCP/IP, Ethernet, IPv4, IPv6 etc. 5. Strong communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills 6. Experience working with standards bodies and SIGs. 7.Systems architecture and design experience
