Summary
The Infrastructure Architect is responsible for the development and ongoing technical expertise and architectural solutions in infrastructure, hardware, hosting service and networks. This role holds significant responsibility for providing robust and scalable technology platforms to ensure the ongoing performance of Lear systems. This role will be focused on settings standard, design and implementation of Cloud Solutions, and working with application and business teams on proper design, validation, and implementation of their solutions.
Responsibilities
•Maintain in-depth knowledge of company's strategic business plans.
•Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to systems analysts, IT cloud engineers, and other systems architects.
•Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company's existing IT cloud architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
•Develop and manage an IT cloud infrastructure capacity strategy.
•Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a cloud technology standards policy.
•Conduct research on emerging cloud technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts, and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.
•Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT cloud infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities.
•Responsible for complete design, systems analysis, and security
•Design, and integration of core technologies with applications team
•Validation of application teams design for adherence to Lear standards
•Acts as expert for infrastructure teams in the plan, design, and delivery of IT solutions.
•Advises teams of IT technology standard requirements, methodology and processes.
•Drives short & long term architecture strategy for the overall IT project portfolio
•Participates in proof of concepts to assist in defining technology direction and enabling business strategy.
•Communicates and validates program architecture with infrastructure team, project management team, and other organizational teams.
•Conducts end-to-end technical plan design.
•Design and develop infrastructure blueprints for the implementation of new solutions.
•Responsible for impact analysis and design modifications to existing systems to support new solutions.
•Maintain a common documentation library of standardized procedures and configurations
•Provide last level of support for incidents and problems in designated areas of expertise.
•Perform vendor identification, engagement, selection, negotiation and relationship management
Qualifications
Required Education
Required at least Bachelor's degree, master is a plus.
Required Experience
•Excellent understanding of typical multi-tier architectures: web servers, caching, application servers, load balancers, and storage.
•Understanding of Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and NoSQL.
•Knowledge of message queuing and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB).
•Understanding of different consistency models in distributed systems.
•Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks (CDN).
•Hands-on experience with core LAN/WAN network technologies.
•Experience with route tables, access control lists, firewalls, NAT, HTTP, DNS, IP and OSI Network.
•Knowledge of RESTful Web Services, XML, JSON.
•Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
•Work experience with information and application security concepts, mechanisms, and tools.
•Large-scale distributed systems architecture.
•System performance tuning.
•Information and application security concepts including public key encryption, remote access, access credentials, and certificate-based authentication.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•Must have a thorough knowledge of the Windows concepts, Domains, Active Directory and its concepts, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network, data center, and application software.
•Strong working knowledge of scripting including; VB & PowerShell
•Strong working knowledge of Office365 including services and management of services
•Strong knowledge of Skype for Business/Microsoft Teams
•Knowledge of network topology and associated technologies
•Knowledge of systems monitoring, capacity planning and performance tuning.
