P6 Scheduler
Contract position. Duration is open and per diem is available.
Location: Newport, MI.
BHI Energy is seeking a Project Planning & Scheduling Specialist to work in our Newport, MI location.

Project Controls Group has systems and procedures in place that encompass a full array of industry best practices including scheduling techniques, earned value tracking, cost forecasting and management reporting. Commitment to effective project controls is evidenced by the excellent training programs, procedure development efforts and system development efforts that have characterized the Project Controls Group since its formation.
This position will be responsible for to create, update and maintain multiple project schedules in support of the engineering task orders performed on site at DTE Fermi 2 Nuclear site.
Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:
•Knowledgeable of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.
•Familiar with data sources and supports basic schedule development.
•Supports analysis of schedule, identifies and investigates project schedule variances.
•Collects and updates data and updates and produces scheduling reports.
•Assists in the development and maintenance of WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding. Supports basic schedule development.
•Supports gathering and assembling data for schedule updating.
•Supports measurement of project schedule progress and gathers and assembles data for schedule and network updating.
•Gathers data for schedule baseline development and maintenance.
•Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods.
•Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles and able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic.
•Understands concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology.
•Supports monthly report preparation.
•May participate in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues.
•Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles.
Minimum Requirements
•BA/BS plus 6 years of relevant experience including P6 scheduling and resource loading schedules or demonstrated equivlancy of experience and/or education.
•Due to the nature of this work, candidate must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
•Previous experience in a project controls or scheduling function in the commercial nuclear power or Power EPC industry
•Experience with change management
•Cost experience
•Field experience
