We are seeking that special someone to join our Installation/Customer Service team as an Office Assistant. Our position requires an administrative whiz who likes the idea of wearing different hats, being busy and who can adapt to an (over-)active office atmosphere … a go-getter who doesn’t mind stepping in when necessary, enjoys office tasks, has a client/”street ready” appearance and a customer service/problem-solving mentality.
Our ideal candidate will have excellent computer skills and must be detail-oriented. There are lots of “i”s to dot to “t”s to cross! The Office Assistant needs research skills, an intuitive nature and a pleasant phone manner that can put homeowners at ease. Ours is a high-energy environment requiring a team player that can take on additional responsibilities without being asked and assist other departments as necessary.
At the time of application, our Office Assistant will have the following:
MUST HAVES:
- Two years of administrative experience, preferably in a smaller company.
- Excellent computer skills, in both the Microsoft Office and Google Office Suites.
- The ability to learn industry-specific, proprietary software (RFMS).
- A pleasant voice demeanor that can, when necessary, champion challenging calls while maintaining a superior customer service experience.
- A sense of ownership in the process.
- Multi-tasking ability and a compulsion for detail.
- Be willing to take on additional responsibilities and support other departments as part of the customer service/installation process.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid driver's license with reliable transportation to and from work (Troy).
- Be able to pass a background check and a monitored, pre-employment drug screen.
- Be able to physically lift ten (10) pounds regularly and move items of various weights and sizes.
- Enjoy a fast-paced environment. (We are BUSY!)
- A good work ethic with flexibility in scheduling days, nights and weekends. (The department’s hours are Monday through Friday, 7.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 7.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.).
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Previous flooring company experience.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Previous experience with RFMS and/or other computerized inventory systems.
- Fluency in Spanish or Arabic is a “super” plus.
This is a full-time, long-term position, eligible for benefits after 90 days. Our company offers medical, dental, optical and life insurance benefits to full-time employees (working over 30 hours per week), and we are also proud of our fun and energetic work environment that offers room for advancement as we expand our markets and sales. Applicants with qualifying skills will be offered a starting wage of $12.00 to $14.00, with the opportunity for incremental increases as skills develop.
