Description
Responsible for making all syrup needed for processing tanks and finished syrup for the jar line. Responsible for receiving syrup; quality samples and ensuring incoming syrup is unloaded properly into designated syrup tanks. Shift responsibility for operating the syrup concentrator. Must be dependable and possess an excellent attendance record.
Essential Functions
•Batch and/or process multiple types of syrups
•Monitor and maintain syrup tank levels
•Monitor and maintain brix and pH levels
•Responsible for sugar recovery system (APV)
•Receive product tankers; collect sample to confirm quality
•Calculate and measure proper levels of ingredients
•Check equipment to ensure proper function
•Calibrate as needed
•Understand all processing control systems for: syrup, steam, water, etc
•Accurate paperwork completion
•Maintain and operate forklift safely at all times
•Complete daily forklift tests
•Accurate paperwork completion
•Maintain and operate forklift safety at all times
•Maintain housekeeping in area
•Provide backup to Processing Operators as needed
•Other tasks as assigned
Competencies and Certifications Required
•Must pass respiratory fitness test
•OSHA Forklift License

• Frequent standing and walking
•Occasional climbing, bending, stooping, and twisting
•Occasional lifting and/or pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds
