The FCA Connected Services team is looking for an individual to identify untapped opportunities in connected services data, which are converted into improved vehicle quality, improved customer service and corporate profitability.
Job responsibilities of the Connected Vehicle Data Manager include but not limited to:
•Growing engagement and providing the data support for internal customer integration tasks, including ingestion, standardization, enrichment and downstream applications
•Work with large data sets from connected vehicles and create answer key business issues
•Identify and engage potential data customers across FCA including engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, warranty, quality, finance, logistics, etc.
•Define and implement measurable metrics to support robust and successful deployments of data throughout the organization
•Support the development of an enterprise wide business information/data warehouse system by interfacing with internal customers and IT
•Define data transformations while retaining the associated lineage and information flows
•Implement data marshalling practices including: creation of data standards, business glossary, data management and the enforcement security policies to support data sharing
•Provide visibility of any data quality issues and work with business owners to resolve
•Guide the collection of new data requirements by understanding their problem statements and informational needs
•Accountable for championing corporate wide savings initiatives
•Ability to gather and compile data to create\devise new projects or initiatives
•Driving and initiating change across the organization, helping to facilitate cultural change across the company
•Act as a role model in the organization for change\improvement
Basic Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree of technical background that allows a solid understanding of how data is managed in a variety of applications such as math, statistics, economics, computer science, operations research, engineering, physics or related area
•Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a continuous improvement role
•Minimum 2 years of direct management experience
•Experience in the automotive industry and/or the fast-paced environment of high growth, emerging technologies
•Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
•Strong auditing and analytical skills
•Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
•Detail-oriented with a strong drive to enforce common standards
•Demonstrated customer focus, with the ability to evaluate decisions through the eyes of the customer, build strong customer relationships, and create processes incorporating the customer’s viewpoint
•Flexibility and durability in a changing environment: always looking for ways to improve the process and ability to confront difficult circumstances in creative ways
•Strong verbal and written communication skills including an ability to communicate complex solutions in simple terms
•Demonstrated skills in large-scale data manipulation, machine learning and mining / pattern recognition
•Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills and a consultative approach to client relations
•Established ability to see to the details that count in establishing a clear execution plan with identified partners, strategies, goals and resources
•Top class presentation skills to sell your ideas to a receptive and dynamic executive management team, partners and analysts
•Critical thinking skills that demonstrate the ability to use existing and discoverable data to solve business problems
•Ability to translate complex quantitative methods into easily understood results for all levels of business customers
•Ability to handle multiple projects within a given timeframe
•Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
•Master’s degree with a concentration in a quantitative field such as math, statistics, economics, computer science, operations research, engineering or physics
•Master Black Belt in LEAN or Six Sigma
•Experience with project management, lean manufacturing, ISO, DMAIC, Six Sigma, Pareto analysis, data optimization, floor layout and training
