GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Business Development, Employer Services is a newly-developed position that will report to the Managed Care executive leader. This position will be responsible for overseeing the prospecting and engagement activities regarding direct-to-employer opportunities with employer groups and their respective brokerage agencies/consulting firms. The position will focus on the identification of new growth opportunities, and potential intersections with the suite of services offered by the Beaumont Employer Services Team. The position serves as a critical resource to develop market-specific business and competitive intelligence in order to identify the needs of potential clients and, ultimately the solution to fit those needs. The position will also oversee account relations for current clients to handles issues related the business relationship, as well as to determine if the client needs any additional services to meet emerging needs. This position requires skills in the reporting and presentation of financial, clinical and utilization data and will focus on sales discipline(s), business operations, benchmarks and goals to guide strategic decisions.This position draws on experience, market knowledge and relationships to provide insightful leads to generate a robust "pipeline" of potential clients. The Vice President, Employer Services regularly produces and distributes Prospect-to-Close reports, departmental budgets, and financial reports to key stakeholders in the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
•Leads and plans potential client engagements, determines appropriate objectives, scope and methodology and actively participate in decision making with executive management.
•Prepares quotes and proposals for clients in a timely fashion, coordinates with the business development support team as well as the operational team to manage the quote and response process. Consistently follows up with all stakeholder to ensure the process is moving forward.
•Performs periodic in-depth analysis of identified problems, trends or issues that need to be assessed for management intervention and action plan development.
•Conducts periodic market analysis for identification of threats, opportunities and weaknesses requiring management action by Beaumont Employer Services Team and/or Beaumont Health.
•Facilitates the production and distribution of reports/dashboard and other ad-hoc information as requested.
•Designs and produces financial reports to meet the decision-making needs of senior management and align with sales/marketing initiatives and strategies to target and develop new accounts within the prescribed segmentation
•Interacts and engages internal and external stakeholders as required.
