Job Summary:
CEVA Logistics is currently hiring a Supply Chain Analyst located in Detroit, MI. In this role, the Analyst will be responsible for supporting inbound intercontinental transportation operations onsite at customer location; gathering data, analyzing planned versus actual shipments, identifying issues, and supporting team members to identify opportunities for cost savings and continuous improvement projects.
In this position, the Supply Chain Analyst will:
•Manage data collection from customer and internal systems; identifies and resolves issues with data quality, collection and maintenance of master data used in operational planning
•Support customer onsite transportation planner and company offsite engineers in identifying potential supply chain improvements or continuous improvement opportunities
•Proactively uses business intelligence and analytical tools to identify cost and mode optimization possibilities
•Collaborates with BI and Analytics developers to create new insights into company and / or customer data
•Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in logistics related field
•2 - 3 years in multi modal international and / or domestic transportation with international freight management experience preferred
•Strong affinity for analysis of data
•In-depth understanding of complex supply chain solutions and the deployment of value creating/generating solutions
Additional Skills and Experience that Contribute to Success:
•Use of OTM or other TMS platform
•Ability to script queries against databased
•Strong mathematical skills
•Above average proficiency in MS Excel and Access
•Above average report writing, data mining and data summarising skills
•Affinity for analytical, problem solving and resolving issues
•Able to work with all global cultures
•Fluent in English (written and verbal), other languages an asset
•Above average communication skills at various levels (written and verbal)
