Reporting Information/Location
This position is located at 39200 W. Six Mile Road, Livonia, MI and reports to the AVP, Production Support - Commercial Lending Services.
Comerica Bank uses IBM Lotus Notes for database, calendaring and e-mail functions.
Position Responsibilities:
Complete monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting, with special emphasis on those reports which employ advanced Excel spreadsheets, Access databases, Monarch models or other software tools to facilitate business and staffing decisions. Examples of client and business unit reports include the following, all of which require data collection, analysis, verification and reconcilement:
1. Past Due and Non-Accrual; New Non-Accruals.
2. Key Performance Metrics and Management Report of Operations
3. Production Review Reporting
4. Call Reporting
5. SBA Reporting
6. Exception Reporting
Maintain or enhance existing databases, spreadsheets, or other software tools. Evaluate spreadsheets, databases, or other software tools created by others for completeness, design flaws that could yield inaccurate or incomplete results, formatting, and data structure. Provide second party review for Sarbanes - Oxley compliance by verifying formulas, calculations or programming and testing these values. Review existing software tools and provide recommendations for improvement and/or evaluate alternatives.
Develop new databases, spreadsheets, and other software tools to meet new reporting requirements, both internal and regulatory, including evaluation of required fields and selection criteria from source accounting system(s) based on stated business need. Develop appropriate controls to ensure accuracy of reporting provided. Ascertain reporting requirements from stated business needs, and oversee projects to implement appropriate solutions.
Complete data analysis for CLS operational information such as processing volumes, throughput rates, labor resources, yield rates and/or AFS Financial information as requested by CLS Management. Provide support to various initiatives, such as AFS Benchmarking, Kaizen or other Six Sigma projects, or other initiatives as requested. Complete Capacity Models independently.
Ensures data and report integrity to prevent opportunity and/or financial losses to Comerica.
Evaluate reporting procedures to ensure efficient processes and accurate output.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or five years of financial reporting in a lending environment experience
3 years experience using MS Excel, Access and PowerPoint
3 years data analysis experience
2 years experience in lending operations
