The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of OEM/Tier1 automotive ECU development and testing processes.
- 2+ years of experience performing ECU diagnostic development or testing activities.
- Previous experience with Vector tools is desirable.
- Experience using/implementing automotive diagnostic standards such as UDS (ISO 14229), ISO 15765, SAE J1979
- SAE J2534, ODX (ISO 22901), WWHOBD (ISO 27145), etc.
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR for automotive embedded systems is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of C/C++ is desirable.
- Knowledge of XML a plus.
- Strong interest in automotive electronics, automotive diagnostics and communication protocols
- Facilitation skills to bring issues to resolution.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills including verbal and listening skills.
- Strong persuasion and facilitation skills to be effective with different personnel levels and functions both at the customer and internally
- Ability to work in a team environment with a sense of urgency to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites outside SE Michigan as necessary (typically < 30%).
- Proven track record assisting customers with issue resolution topics.
- Positive outlook on themselves, their customers and all aspects of their job.
- B.S. in EE/SE/CE/CS or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience
