Position Summary:
HARMAN's diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary role will be to assist in producing and executing on career development programming for the summer intern program along with assisting promoting the HARMAN brand and organizational culture on social media channels.
Job Responsibilities:
•Conduct end of year analysis on-campus recruitment efforts based on intern and early-career hires
•Compile research on universities/colleges, focusing on top engineering, research and business schools
•Responsible for conducting focus groups and feedback sessions with interns and co-op's to ensure our program is competitive within the industry
•Assist in coordinating engagement and professional development events for interns and co-op's in multiple locations
•Research additional sourcing channels to support our diversity initiatives within Talent Acquisition and University Relations
•Source and pre-screen candidates for co-op and internship roles
•Generate content that we can promote via social media to promote the work environment and culture of HARMAN
•Review social pages of industry competitors to gather best practices for HARMAN's digital presence
•Assist in reporting and metrics for all aspects of the team
Basic Qualifications:
•Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
•Degree must be in a related area of work with courses in communications, human resources or business
•Previous entry-level work experience strongly preferred
•General understanding of social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
•Must have a strong understanding of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
•Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
•Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
•Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
•Must provide proper work authorization
Eligibility Requirements:
•Willingness to travel.
•Willingness to work in an office in Novi, MI.
•Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation, drug screen, and DMV background check.
