We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to join our Team in Holland, MI.
As a Project Engineer-NPI, you will:
Be responsible for leading a team on new product introduction projects in the Systems, Walls and Tables product lines, including design, development, and introduction of new product. Ensure performance (business, profit, product and functionality) to specifications. Develop a strong understanding of the new product development process, product engineering deliverables and how they fit in the process and relationships to other functional groups. Focus needs to be on timely and accurate achievement of product engineering function to support profitable business growth in Systems, Walls or Tables groups. Provide technical direction to other staff members and interface at all organizational levels.
Do you have the following required qualifications?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or Industrial Technology OR If no degree, 8 years of experience in an engineering role (mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering preferred).
- 6 years of additional experience in an engineering role (mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering preferred).
OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, or Industrial Technology
- 4 years of experience in an engineering role (mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering preferred).
- Experience with 3D modeling in Creo.
- Experience with the new product introduction process.
- Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
Do you have the following preferred qualifications?
- Experience working with systems, tables, and/or walls engineering in a furniture manufacturing environment.
- Experience in design engineering, working with product line responsibility, and project engineering preferred.
Ideally, you have also demonstrated the following:
- Demonstrated ability to creatively design, analyze, and document product designs on multiple projects.
- Design, development, and project management skills.
- Ability for innovative technical accomplishments, as demonstrated through prior design drawings, patent awards, technical publications, and market success.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of CAD (design) systems and analysis procedures.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to ensure products and materials produced meet functional requirements over life of product
