Job Description
The Tax Professional - Medium/Small Firms Account Management Pursuit Team Manager leads a team of Sales Reps in pursuit of their sales and revenue targets The key areas of responsibility are:
•Primary responsibility of leading the activities of a team of 12+ Frontline Sales reps attempting to attain their individual quotas by selling to Medium/Small Accounting firm
•Team is comprised of Reps with primary responsibility of selling Content or Software and related products.
•Coordinates with other managers across the organization to ensure that the right resources are in place to hit goals
•Reports to the Customer Growth and Retention Lead
Accountabilities:
•Responsible for attaining assigned Team Sales and Revenue targets.
•Provides weekly forecast to AM Lead and ensures that team is forecasting accurately through weekly individual rep reviews.
•Ensures the team has the pipeline that is required to achieve future month Sales and Revenue targets
•Performance manages the team for increased sales results. This includes ensuring that activity levels by the Sales Reps on the team are at acceptable levels.
•Timely compliance with any required internal paperwork and understands internal policies relating to employee expectations
•Shows initiative and looks for efficiency gains within their team
•Handles customer escalations as necessary
•Shares best practices with other sales leaders so that the entire organization is constantly improving
•Reviews orders submitted by team for accuracy and compliance with pricing and promo strategies
•Looks for opportunities to increase employee engagement through team contests and challenges
Skills and Experience:
•Experience leading a Sales Team is required
•Track record of success selling to Tax Professionals is preferred.
•Planning and goal setting with individual reps. Territory management experience. Experience in identifying "whitespace" within a clients product portfolio and pursuing those opportunities
•Strong understanding of Tax Professional customers and their business model and workflows.
•Strong product knowledge. Relationship building skills. Selling skills (identity, develop and articulate a complex proposition/consultative selling). Strong negotiation skills. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to use a variety of technology with a high level of proficiency.
•Problem solving--ability to understand and solve client needs.
•Sales Coaching experience
•Ability to lead a cross functional team with both permanent and dotted line resources
