Department Summary
The Gas Distribution Process, Technology and Data Analytics team is responsible for identifying and prioritizing most critical process issues of Gas Distribution aligning with outside departments for operational improvements to achieve breakthrough goals. The team also supports and provides recommendations with optimization of compliance reporting and data specifically with BI Reporting, dashboarding and analytics. It also is key to supporting the Public Safety/Records Accuracy Rally room.
Job Description/Responsibilities
•This role will be responsible for support and oversight of Records Accuracy & process adherence for Gas Distribution Operations. The position is a critical role in supporting the Public Safety/Records Accuracy Rally room with process improvement, coaching of employees, and data analytics.
•In addition, this position is responsible for oversight of Customer Complaints associated with Gas Distribution. This will include the response, tracking, and aligning necessary work groups to ensure our customers' feedback is resolved timely and effectively.
•Another key duty in this role will be supporting the Gas Leak Backlog Elimination Program through statewide support of the Permitting Process.This will include being a statewide liaison partnering with various groups outside of Gas Operations, including organizations such as municipalities.
Requirements/Qualifications
•Requires 2-4 years of applicable experience with a Bachelor's degree in a scientific/technical field (OR) 5-7 years of applicable experience with an Associate's degree in a scientific/technical field (OR) extensive years of applicable experience in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance with no degree.

Essential Functions
Engineering support for the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of Electric and Gas Distribution and Electric Generation systems as well as facilities and ancillary support processes for all utility operations. Duties and who this individual reports to will fluctuate between projects, Practice Areas, and offices. Supervise and consult on a complex set of activities in support of the energy delivery systems routinely in the engineering analytical space on a frequent basis. Lead and/or assist with GIS (geographic Information System) model construction, data construction and data analysis. Lead and/or assist with engineering support for the design, plans, specifications, reports, maps, environmental impacts, permits, contracts, schedules, estimates, surveying, data collection, construction observation, and field investigation. Provide engineering support services with accuracy, on time and under budget. Use computer assisted engineering, design, and drafting software and equipment to prepare engineering support and design documents. Understand and follow company established standard procedures for file structure and standard drawing procedures for projects. Become familiar with plans and specifications, maps, and related material for each project and be able to utilize the information appropriately. Assists in client contact and communication. Utilize effective communication skills to answer inquiries from coworkers, clients, or the public. Public involvement may include producing reports, graphics, presentations, and other visual material as well as occasional speaking or meeting with stakeholders. Attend internal and external meetings. Provide all engineering support services in a legal and ethical manner..May review operating and construction sites to monitor progress and other duties per the design documents. Individual must be able to clearly communicate with field personal to safely perform equipment checkouts. Individual must be able to understand and comply with NERC standards. Regular attendance is expected.
