Job Description
The CAD Intern will be responsible for supporting the Reed City project team while receiving on the job training and mentoring. Under the guidance of project team staff, the CAD Intern will be assigned to prepare and update drawing of existing equipment and products based on verbal instructions, sketches, and other formal documentation. The CAD intern will interact and participate in projects that directly impact business value.
Responsibilities
•Performs a variety of routine tasks that will improve the individual's familiarization with the engineering methods, practices, and programs of the Company.
•Preparation and modification of engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor.
•Miscellaneous technical data generation and analysis.
•Works with the Tubelite team to complete root cause analysis
•Perform other duties and requirements as assigned by management when the need arises
•Interface with other internal organizations such as manufacturing, marketing, service, product support and purchasing, as well as external customers and suppliers.
•Supports manufacturing and operations functions with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, problem identification, problem resolution activities.
•Assists Engineers with large projects, as needed.
•Plans and controls all activities so as to follow established safety protocol and to provide an accident-free work place.
•Conducts work activities with regard to environmental rules and regulations.
Position Requirements
•Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and with completion of the freshman year.
•Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
•Strong computer skill desired including experience with CAD and Microsoft Office applications.
•Ability to read technical documents (e.g. prints) and interpret them
•High standard of personal and professional integrity
