Develop, organize, and maintain systems used to verify product conformance to accepted quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Understand, communicate and execute the customer requirements for automotive interior components.
• Communicate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality related issues.
• Learn to develop inspection and containment plans to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Assist with execution and communication of engineering change requests and related documentation.
• Coordinate dimensional layouts through corporate office or outside lab.
• Work with suppliers through the development process and review PPAP packages as needed.
• Support AQE in Product Development Cycle process deliverables as needed.
• Facilitate team problem solving for root cause analysis and countermeasures.
• Responsible for working together with Manufacturing and Process Engineers for creating the Process Flows and PFMEAs to ensure proper flow captured and appropriate risks assigned for all steps including Significant / Critical Characteristics and for calculating the required process performance.
• Responsible for creating the Control Plans to ensure appropriate controls for all Process Flow Steps including Significant / Critical Characteristics to insure proper process performance.
• Train employees to evaluate and disposition non-conforming material (NCM).
• Create and control required visual aids.
• Verify each ODS specifies Control Plan and customer requirements including customer / internal SC / CC symbols; approve (sign) the ODS.
• Create and approve Quality Alerts.
• Provide quality-related training to other employees when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
