U.P. Engineers & Architects (UPEA) seeks a Civil/CAD Designer to join their team in your choice of locations: Houghton, Iron Mountain, Ishpeming, or Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, or Marinette, Wisconsin.
WHAT YOU WILL DO.
- Primary focus will be designing municipal water and wastewater systems.
- Take surveyors’ data and create base maps, surfaces, pipe networks, and water and sewer plans.
- Create road plans, alignments, profiles, sections, and assemblies using all parts of the corridor package.
- Perform grading and volume calculations.

- $37,000 – $48,000+ annually based on your knowledge and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS.
- Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Computer Aided Drafting, Engineering Design, or a directly related discipline preferred.
- Working knowledge of CAD software required, (Civil 3D preferred).
- 5 years’ experience in civil design preferred.
- Knowledge of GIS helpful.
- Ability to interpret and understand documents, drawings, and technical specifications required.
- A versatile nature that can adapt well to changing priorities and projects.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Willingness and ability to travel, as needed, based on projects/meetings.
