Serves as main receptionist for departments within the Divisions of Academic Affairs and Student Success (Admissions, Advising, Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of Student Success, Financial Aid/Bursar and Registrar). Provides primary administrative support for Admissions Services. This position reports to the Director of Admissions Services.
Essential Duties:
Serves as receptionist for various departments within the Divisions of Academic Affairs and Student Success, including scheduling appointments for Advising, Financial Aid and the Registrar’s Office, and preparing conference rooms for meetings.
Manage applications and other admissions requirements using appropriate software.
Generate and execute applicant communications.
Assist in scheduling appointments for Admissions Services.
First point of contact for the office; provides support for KCAD Admissions email and phone inquiries.
Assist in the management of the customer relationship management (CRM) platform.
Other duties as assigned.
Marginal Duties:
Assist in the coordination and management of on-campus admissions visitation programming and other major recruitment events.
Serves as the secondary Designated School Official (DSO) for the International Student population at KCAD.
Assist in issuing locker and/or parking cards.
Receive and review financial aid and registrar documents for completeness.
Provide assistance related to the receiving of student educational related payments.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Required Work Experience:
Appropriate work and other experiences of a nature and duration significant enough to demonstrate the ability to fulfill the requirements of the job.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to organize and manage a number of complex projects at the same time.
Professional demeanor, dependable, confident to take initiative, self-reliant, capable of making reasonable decisions, maintain confidentiality, and act with tact and diplomacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Banner software.
Work experience using a customer relationship management (CRM) platform such as Salesforce or other platform.
Experience working as a secretary, assistant, or administrative assistant.
Experience working in higher education in capacities relevant to the position.
Familiarity with art/design technologies, such as the Adobe suite, web design, etc.
