This role contributes to the success of a senior design team through a range of production tasks and supportive projects. The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated, self-directed, enthusiastic person who is passionate about design production, works well under pressure, and can thrive in a deadline-driven atmosphere. They must have the ability to deliver precise redlines and development-ready assets conforming to existing style guides and brand guidelines in a fast-paced, high quality bar environment. They should also have a knack for streamlining design production tasks. This position requires competency in visual design, speed and efficiency, and acute attention to detail. The ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with key stakeholders is essential. You will collaborate with a team of advanced UI/UX Designers, Art Directors, Product Managers, and Developers to provide outstanding design assets in support of a broad range of Amazon Publishing initiatives. This position is based in Grand Haven, Michigan, on our creative services team.

Responsibilities
* Support senior designers by making production assets pixel perfect, optimized, and development ready
* Develop wireframes and design templates for design team use
* Create assets in multiple dimensions and formats from final designs
* Contribute to the design of effective user interfaces in a team environment
* Refine and extend screen comps based on an established visual toolkit
* Help bring big ideas to life through iteration and collaboration
* Understand usability principles that help drive successful design
Basic Qualifications
* At least 2 years of visual design production experience
* Experience working on a collaborative team and working directly with up-stream designers
* An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating experience creating customer-centered visual designs.
Preferred Qualifications
* Strong project management and organizational skills
* Visual design expertise demonstrated through mockups and style guides
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to clearly explain your design decisions
* Experience streamlining production tasks
* Redlining experience
* Experience producing production assets for a variety of screen resolutions
* Demonstrated knowledge of the latest design patterns and trends
* Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual design, or related field
* Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch, Fireworks, and InDesign
