Continuous Improvement Lead Job Summary:
A leading manufacturer and machine builder is seeking a Continuous Improvement Lead to grow its team. This person will lead plant-wide efforts in lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen projects, and more.
Schedule: 1st shift with overtime available
Continuous Improvement Lead Responsibilities:
- Optimization of the production process according to Lean Production
- Organization and ergonomics of workstations
- Analysis of assembly times and optimization
- Development and implementation of new technologies to the production process
- Improvement of material flow and elimination of unnecessary inventory
- Analysis of assembly times and optimization to improve production in each cycle of production
- Optimization of the production process according to Lean Production
- Plan and execute the organization and ergonomics of assembly workstations
- Support team members to ensure they are successful with work assignments.
- Participate in the interview process, identifying and administering employee relations and development, which includes training, along with coaching / counseling sessions.
- Encourage and involve team members to make suggestions to improve production processes
- Training and development of team members
- Inspect team members work assignments for quality and thoroughness
- Maintain and actively contribute to the cleanliness and safety levels of the workstation
- Following established cycle, department, and corporate guidelines and processes
- Collaborate with all departments within the organization
- Run the projects, Workshops, CIP’s (Continues Improvements)
Continuous Improvement Lead Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, business, or related field
- 2+ years of experience with lean manufacturing and 5S
- Experience leading Kaizen projects
- Experience with time studies, capabilities studies, process improvements, etc.
Location: Kentwood, MI
Position Type: Full-time with overtime available; Contract-to-hire position
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00/HR based on experience and qualifications
